The cord is 18 gauge insulatedelectrical wire in a round, black & white nylon fabric cloth cover. The long neck, black phenolic plug looks just like the old antique Bakelite style. It is 2prong, polarized and features screw post wire connectingterminals for strength and security. It is very high quality, made from strong phenolic resin, with a thick plastic center, not cardboard.
