Item Offered At A Low "Buy It Now" Price Or "Make Offer" For your consideration we are offering this vintage watercolor painting featuring the razed historical landmark Williston Collins building. Signed by artist Francis A. Lammer and dated 1975. The building once stood at North Second & William Streets in New Bedford, Mass. Originally built in 1792. The cupola served as a lookout for the whaling ships arriving and departing. At one time a school. The building housed numerous small industries. Sherman nautical instruments, printing, engraving, bookbinding and publishing co. The artist once worked here as a copper and steel plate engraver. Building was set on fire in 1968 and then razed. The painting is in good condition. The white border has some foxing. The wood frame measures 14.75" x 11.5". A sealed brown paper backing with complete description and history of building. Also a Williston H. Collins & Co. letterhead and original B&W photo of building. We will consider a reasonable offer.
