Up for sale is a new HANDMADE knife made by Al Polkowski called the \"Backpacker\" that was made on July 15, 1995 in New Jersey. I purchased this knife directly from Mr. Polkowski in late 1995 for $230. Sadly, Mr. Polkowski passed away back in Feb 2011.
This knife has a 2.5\" blade made out of ATS-34 and has sort of a mirror finish to it. The handle is made out of Amber Stag. Additionally, it has a kydex sheath. Also, included is Al\'s business card that he gave me as well (included in one photo).
This knife has never been used or handled outside of when it was purchased. It has been in a glass display case since purchase. That being said, I need to disclose there are a few fine sheath related \"scratches\" on the one side given the mirror-like finish of the knife. It is the side opposite of Al\'s handmade logo. I have taken photos of the knife to highlight these kydex related knife marks on the blade and to show the condition of the knife for you to validate. NOTE. On top of the knife, there are very small cut-outs that have a darker color to them...it is not rust! It looks like the color might have been added to match the Amber Stag handle? Sold as is.
You must be 18 years of older to purchase this knife. The knife will ship within 3-4 business days.
