North Africa or Middle East Bedouin
Footed Copper Planter
with Hand Etched & Stamped
Estate sale find.
Absolutely stunning vintage/antique copper planter!
Comes from the estate of a world traveler who spent most
of the late 1930s and early 1940s in
North Africa and the Middle East... so I'm going to date
this planter to that time period.
The camels and animals surround the planter with one
person (by one of the handles)
leading the camel caravan... what looks like a couple of
ships are also in the background.
It surely took many hours to stamp and etch this planter
The planter has a lot of patina and can use a
cleaning... I NEVER clean vintage items like this planter!

Could this be an Ethiopian piece???
Heavy for its size.
Dimensions:11" tall 8" diameter (top) 6-1/2" diameter (bottom)
