Here are a very unique pair of vintage Circa 1912-1913 alligator style pliers. These are Mechanics Tool Co. Eagle Claw Wrench pliers. They are very heavy duty and 11" long overall. The jaw opens to 1-1/4" maintaining both jaws parallel. Will grip 2" with jaws at an angle some. These have a very unique style of jaw tips, with angles. There is also a small groove at the back of the jaw for wire bending I believe? This is the first pair of these I have ever come across. Made in rockford, ILL. USA circa 1913 or so. In excellent shape with no wear on jaw teeth. Survivor! There is very little information out there on Eagle Claw Wrench Company. Tool Archives site has a small write up on them.
