An absolutely fabulous vintage ceramic bust of a European soldier in traditional uniform by Ceramica del Ferlaro, a small ceramics company located in the town of Collecchio in Parma, Italy. Founded in the first half of the 20th Century by Marquise Maria Giulia Moncada di Paternò, the small company is still in operation, producing quality handcrafted Italian ceramic masterpieces. They have a very interesting website with more information about the company. The piece offered in this sale appears to be quite rare, as I can find nothing similar on or elsewhere on the internet. And the company has confirmed to me via email that the work offered in this listing was created in the 1970\'s and is \"out of production, very precious, and hard to find.\" The bust is in good vintage condition, but do note the few little chips or nicks as shown in the photos and video, which do not detract from the overall beauty and charm of the piece. The bust measures about 15.5 inches high by 11.5 inches wide. Classic Italian craftsmanship and beauty at its best!
