MINT 1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE - A LOVELY LADY - A TRULY TEXTURAL MASTERPIECE - I cannot wait for the person who purchases this amazing ladies portrait to write me about how beautiful and insanely textural this silver sixth plate is in their collection. I mean, talk about holographic! She shines like the day she sat in this studio. The details of her dress, fingerless lace gloves, her hair and her jewels are totally mind-blowing! Gold accents were expertly applied to her earrings and brooch. Although a pretty typical portrait for its time, this immaculate plate will blow your mind. The resealed image is nicely tucked into a full case. I truly wish all my fellow daguerreotype collectors good luck winning this beautiful piece of 19th Century eye candy.

CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this cased image and as part of my description. I removed the original seals and have resealed sixth plate with P90 Archival Tape and added a new sheet of coverglass to help restore this mint condition daguerreotype. The plate is superior to most I have encountered and you will see what I mean about a textural masterpiece when you open her housing for the first time. The case retains the original hinge, both of the working clasps and a gorgeous red velvet plush adjacent to her likeness. I am sure any collector of daguerreotypes will enjoy this fine quality cased image.
