This is a miniature of the George Bissell statue of Lincoln. This statuette has Lincoln, holding the emancipation proclamation in his right hand. The original statue by American sculptor George E Bissell (1839-1920), is located at the Scottish-American Soldiers Monument in Scotland, the only American Civil war memorial outside of the United States. At the close of the Civil War, Bissell joined his father\'s marble business in New York. He continued his education in sculptural design in Paris during the mid-19th century. The 8” bronze replica of the statue is listed on for $999.

This is a very heavy statue for its size, it weighs approximately 486 grams. It measures approximately 5.3/8”. The base measures 1.3/16”. It looks like the color of a burnished copper penny.
