What we have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful Mid-Century Modern black & gold swing arm table / desk lamp! We have sold a lot of articulated / swing arm lamps but have not come across one as unique as this Atomic Era beauty! It is a lamp right from a Thurston sketch! The shade is original with black & gold trim rounding out the top and bottom. It has a white enamel painted heat vent at the top of the shade. Below the socket is a clear plastic light reflector with a reeded pattern running around it. The neck and body are a jet black satin finished metal with the gleaming brass / gold swing arm and gold base making it stand out and shine gorgeously! A perfect desk or table lamp for any Art Deco / Hollywood Regency setting! The lamp is in superb overall condition for its age with no dents or dings and what looks to be some water spotting at the rear of the base. The shade is in superb condition as well with no rips, tears or discoloration. The joint of the swing arm bears a patent dating the design to 1957. It stands 22.75\" tall to the top of the finial. The swing arm measures 5-3/8\" closed and it is 10\" long fully extended, it is also as tight as new and must be opened with two hands. The clear plastic reflector measures 7\" wide. The black neck / collar measures 2.5\" wide across. The base measures 7.75\" wide. The shade measures 10.75\" wide across the top & flares out to 15\" wide at the bottom and is 9.5\" high.
