River Of No Returnis a 1954 American Westernfilm directed by Otto Premingerand starring Robert Mitchum and Marilyn Monroe.The picture was shot on location in the Canadian Rockiesin Technicolor and Cinemascopeand released by 20th Century Fox.
The cast and crew departed for Calgaryin late June 1953. From there they traveled by special train to theBanff Springs Hotel,which wouldserve as their base during the Canadian filming.Monroe was accompanied byNatasha Lytess,her acting coach.
