Marguerite Kirmse (1885-1954) is one of America\'s most beloved dog artists. Her background in dogs as a breeder and owner of Scottish Terriers only added to her ability to portray dogs in their most realistic and most amusing lights. This work is a pencil signed and pencil titled etching. It has been professionally matted, framed and is presented under glass.
Depicting a Pointer dog in the field, the etching is titled \"Hold It\". The artwork from mat board edge to edge measures 9 3/8\" long by 7 5/8\" tall. Overall framed size is 13 7/8\" long by 12 1/8\" tall. This etching was published in 1930.
