This lot includes an original NOS (uncirculated) "Windows On The World" WTC matchboxANDan original NOS (uncirculated) "The Greatest Bar On Earth" WTC matchbook. Both of these matches were designed by the acclaimed graphic artist/designer Louise Filli.
Both are uncirculated "New Old Stock" lot (means that they were never distributed to the public) of (1) WINDOWS ON THE WORLD Matchbox & (1) GREATEST BAR ON EARTH Matchbook
We recently removed this lot from it’s original factory shipping carton which has been stored in our company’s temperature controlled archives since August 2001 so we can absolutely guarantee it’s provenance and the fact that it has never been distributed to the public.

WOW was the internationally renown New York City restaurant that was located on the 107th floor of One World Trade Center.
Matchbook #2 The GREATEST BAR ON EARTH lounge was also located on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center within the Windows On The World restaurant. This matchbook was produced by us to replace the original “lipstick” style matchbox version and sadly was never circulated by the restaurant to the public
*During it's operation, my company manufactured all of Windows On The World restaurant's branded matchbooks & matchboxes that were branded for both their restaurant and their Greatest Bar On Earth lounge!
These matches are part of the restaurant's final order thatwere sitting in our warehouseprior tothe attack on 9/11 so they were never shipped.
