New in the box and the box is a little rough shape from storage and age. We did not take this clock out of the box as it\'s attached to the bottom and wanted to somewhat maintain it\'s original packaging. This is an Official Lester Maddox wall clock which also includes stand. It was manufactured in 1971 as part of the 1971 Georgia gubernatorial primary between Lester Maddox and Jimmy Carter. Lester Maddox was a notorious segregationist who was the Georgia governor from 1967 to 1971. The graphics on the clock (axe handle, chicken leg, riding a bicycle backward) were all used to accentuate his segregationist views and practices.
