Here is a beautiful carved jade pendant measuring 1-5/8 inches in diameter, with a gold filled bale and loop, suspended from a gold filled chain. The chain measures 20 inches long. The pendant weighs 16.8 grams without the chain. Featuring two fish facing each other, an ancient Chinese symbol of good fortune, the jade is fully carved on both sides in relief. I am calling it vintage, but the bale looks like it could be from a transitional Victorian/Art Deco era piece. There is a little brassing on the bale and loop, another reason I think it may be older than vintage, and the pin holding the bale on must have fallen out, and was replaced with one that is silvertone and way too long. It is otherwise in very good to excellent pre-owned condition. I could not find a maker\'s mark or metal content mark on the pendant. The chain is marked ... but it is not original to the piece.
