Large round zinc-lined copper box, bread box or food container having hinged lid with central dome featuring a pinwheel design, double ring handles at the side, front knob for opening lid. Possibly 19th century, unmarked. There is very unusual circular leaf design on the bottom as photographed.
Previous owner obviously housed potpourri inside as it has a mild floral scent when opened.
