This type of slab is collected, lightly polished and coated in an epoxy resin by Stan Esbanshade who is famous for his discoveries at the mine. It contains several veins of native copper that are randomly oriented in the matrix. They have a metallic luster that shines like a new penny depending on their orientation to the light source.
