Description This soup tourine (tureen) and lid is made in the La Chamba style from Colombian black clay pottery. This tourine was handcrafted by Colombian artisans - thus, each piece is unique. The tourine is 7\" in diameter at the opening, approximately 9-1/2\" in diameter at the widest and 6-1/4\" tall (not including lid). It has a five (5) quart capacity. It has a notch in the lid and tourine for the ladle. The porous nature of this clay allows the slow evaporation of steam to produce tastier and more moist foods.
This Colombian soup tourine (tureen) is pre-owned and in good condition. Each piece of pottery is unique and has variances from the pottery process. However, since this tourine is used, it also has minor wear/use marks.
