LENOX China The Congressional BOWL Commissioned for The US Capitol Building For Sale

Commissioned for the Capitol Building bicentennial in 1993. Four detailed drawings depict the lineage of the U.S. capitol building including: Federal Hall (1789) in New York City; Congressional Hall (1790) in Philadelphia; the original Capitol Building (1829) in Washington as well as the rebuilt Capitol Building – the iconic version we know today. Each drawing is resplendently framed in gold leaf and indigo. The bowl’s footed base assures that it will always be considered a modern “classic.”

These bowls were only available at the US Senate Stationary Store in 1993-1994, and were given as gifts from Members of Congress to staff, family and friends. Original Price was $225
