KPM Berlin Hand Painted WWI Von Hindenburg Portrait & Gold Leaf Empire Form CupBeautiful porcelain empire form oversized cabinet cup and saucer. Nicely decorated with a very nicely hand painted portrait of Paul Von Hindenburg. The portrait is framed by gold gilt leaves, with two bands of gold gilt leaves around the body of the cup. With gold gilding along the inside and outside of the lip, around the foot rim, and gold gilding down the handle. The saucer has a ring of gold gilt leaves and gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom with the red globe over KPM and the blue scepter mark used by KPM Berlin. It also has a black iron cross used by KPM Berlin between 1914 and 1918.Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.The cup measures 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 5 3/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures 7 1/8 inches wide.This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.LQ
