An Imperial Bavarian Cavalry officer\'s sword. Nickel plated guard with pierced heraldic lion motif representing the Kingdom of Bavaria; the dark composition grip with finger groove. The etched blade with a visible makers mark. The engraving includes, \"In Treue Fest\" Fine original condition with minor discoloration to plating on handle mounts and slight paint loss and scratches to scabbard. Very slight bend towards the end of the blade.
