Beautiful Hopi seed jar pottery by Fawn Navasie. Pottery measures 3 3/4\"H by 7 3/4\" W. Jar is decorated with repeated Sikyatki moth and feather designs with geometric patterns. Jar was purchased directly from the artist at Keams Canyon AZ....it is new and in mint condition.
Fawn Navasie is anaward-winning potter who traces her lineage back through Frogwoman and Paqua Naha. The Navasie/Naha family of potters is known for their own special revival....as was Nampeyo for Sikyatki pottery revival. TheNavasies\' were responsible for reviving a pottery style from the late Awatovi village south of First Mesa. Fawn is an accomplished potter whose work is highly sought after....this piece would make a valuable addition to any southwestern native pottery collection.
