The term Chasing Star may refer either to a meteor or to theplanets, the emblem on the mask is also sometimes used for Venus. On the otherhand, the huge Eagle feather headdress could be a depiction of a comet’s tail,and this Kachina may be thought of as the Comet Kachina. Very mysterious. Standing 9 and a half inches tall, he is beautifullycarved by Eric Roy, son of the legendary Coolidge Roy, and nephew of Silas Roy.Eric was taught the art of carving by Coolidge Roy, and you can see much ofCoolidge\'s influence in his work. But unlike hisfather\'s work, Eric specializes in single piece construction, the mostdifficult style to carve.
