The Harbor Freight Chicago Electric tumbler is a great machine but one of its weak points is the original plastic bushings which the roller shafts spin in. The plastic bushings get rock debris/dirt/grit/etc. in them and then wear out with normal use leading to misalignment of the shafts, damage to the metal frame and shafts, and increased wear on the motor.This upgrade kit replaces the stock plastic bushings withSTAINLESS STEEL BALL BEARINGSwith minimal effort or modifications to the base rock tumbler.

Important: Please verify that your tumbler has at least approximately 5mm of space between the end of each drum and the tumbler frame with the drums installed and centered on the rollers. The vast majority of these tumblers have the necessary space, however due to variations from the tumbler manufacturer, a very small percentage of tumblers may not. This kit will not work properly without the necessary space between the drum and the tumbler frame.
This is not a complete tumbler, rather it is an upgrade kit that requires you to have a Chicago Electric Dual Drum Rock Tumbler to install the upgrade on. Installation will require drilling four 1/8" new holes in the metal tumbler frame, and slightly enlarging four existing holes to 1/8". Detailed instructions and the included drilling guide make this simple.
