Hand Carved Signed Marble Art Sculpture Dog Statue Carving Spaniel Hunting Dog For Sale

Bought at an estate sale and don’t know how old it is or where made. It is carved out of marble. (It is definitely not made of alabaster - which is relatively soft - as the material is extremely hard.) Dog and piece of oval shaped marble on which it stands are carved out of the same piece of marble. It measures 14“ from nose to tail and the tail (highest point) stands 7” tall.Base measures 2.5” wide by 10.5. It weighs 4.5. No chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. I have included a photo of the artists signature on the bottom but I can’t make it out. If anyone out there can read the signature, I would really appreciate hearing from you!
