VINTAGE/ANTIQUE WARNING LIGHT is VERY CLEAN
LOOKING and WORKS GREAT: 12VDC. The extremely rare GRIMES Hi -Flash G - 8190 Beacon Ray type rotating antique beacon was specially made for motor vehicles by an airplane lighting manufacturer and is fully operational. It should fit perfectly on a vintage Ambulance, Fire Engine or Police vehicle. It turns fast, smooth, quiet and all the special very bright optical sealed beam lamps work. The box noted the optical sealed beam lamps as new, but are marking everything as USED. The light is approximately 5 inches high and 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. The lens looks to be a new new factory original heavy glass deep ruby RED lens, very clear, no cracks, but has very minor, hard to see, scratch on top (see last picture - just to the right of the bulb) and is being marked as USED. Again, the special high intensity optical sealed beam lamps are very bright and were also marked as new, but we are selling them as USED. The polished aluminum base is in good condition, no cracks. There is some slight weathering, scratches, blemishes on the aluminum base, slight tarnish on the light's internal unit (as expected for a light of this age)--see pictures. The lens gasket is in good condition.
This item came from an estate, garage sale. A garage that possibly did municipal maintenance, vintage car restoration and movie stunt or prop vehicle work. I have no exact idea of the
age of the light. The item is tested and working. I am not an expert in these items. I have no actual information if it has been
modified or if parts are missing. The
pictures are of the exact item so as to provide detail and condition. No other parts are included. Pictures are part of the description, the
purchaser must decide if it is applicable to their use. The description above just repeats what was written on the old storage box. No motor vehicles or other lights are part of this offer, if shown, they are only shown to provide usage or installation-placement information. Only the light described above is available in this offer. (As with any vintage automotive restoration it needs to operated on a regular basis to keep it fully operation so moving parts do not freeze up.)
