A freak thunderstorm short circuits his plans and transfers his consciousness to his gardening droid. The authorities believe the droid killed the doctor, putting him/it on the run. Fugitoid: Professor Zayton Honeycutt, also known as Dr. Zayton Honeycut, is a semi-retired scientist from the planet D'Hoonib whose mind was transferred into his working robot as both were struck by lightning. As he refused to build a transmat device (a means of teleportation) for General Blanque of the Federation military in their war against the Triceraton Republic, he was categorized as a "Fugitoid" (short for "fugitive android"). The character was introduced in a series of strips in the Gobbledygook comics that was later finished in a one-off self-titled comic book and then guest starred in the original TMNT issues 5 to 7, later became a recurring character in the main TMNT comic.{Source: Wikipedia}
Condition of Comic
The included photos are of the actual comic book for sale.The comic was graded by CGC at an 8.0 (VF) in early 2022 and returned to the owner in April 2022.
Backstory: Collecting comics was a joyful hobby shared with my twin brother back in the 80's and 90's, and we're happy to give them a new home with others who will appreciate them as much as we do!This TMNT comic was "lost" in our collection for 20 years until one of the brothers recently "found" it in a non comic book box at the bottom of a bedroom closet "hutch" packed in with other over-sized comics and "stuff". This Fugitoid # 1 and some other TMNT's were remarkably well-preserved. Needless to say, off to CGC they went late 2021.We are the original purchasers of Fugitoid #1 1st print back in the 80's.
