Being offered is an 1915 to early 1920's era - French Lick Golf Club 1 3/8” x 1 5/8” authentic and original golf caddie or waiter badge. Such badges are extremely rare and seldom seen; especially, being from the famous French Lick Springs Hotel operated by Thomas Taggart.
This badge was made by the C.H. Hanson Co., of Chicago, Illinois and is hallmarked on the back as such. The Hanson Company made police, fire, hotel, and other badges, metal objects, etc, during the late 19th and into the 20th Century. Their quality of badge making was excellent; as evident of this fine piece being offered.
