Franz Hermle Mantle Clock (Queensway) Tambour Style For Sale

Beautiful walnut finish clock with ornate carvings across the front. Glass door which opens for winding has decorative trim around the outside. It has a beautiful dial which is brown in the center and off-white around the outside where the gold tone roman numerals are to match the gold colored hands. Clock is made in Germany and has a great sounding Westminster 8 day movement. Clock chimes on the quarter hours, half hour, and on the hour, but you can skip some of these choices by not winding all three winding stations. Also included is a stopping plug that fits in any winding hole to stop the clock totally [see photo 2]. They call this a tambour style or open book design as it looks like an open book with a round clock setting in the center of the pages. I was told it is a reproduction of an old German clock. I bought it new in 1999 for $1200.00 but unfortunately I moved and no longer have a use for it. Size is approximately 28 inches long X 11 inches high X 6 inches deep. Like new condition.
