Amazingly painted and detailed Cougar (?) by Manuel Cruz. Manuel carves them andhis wife Ruvi paints them. His brother Agustin Cruz Prudencio is a wonderful artist aswell and specializes in religious Alebrijes as well as multi-character works.
For me, they are among the finest Alebrije artists of all time. A smaller piece like thisin this price range is virtually impossible to find.
Everywhere one looks, there are wonderful designs with the full spectrum of colorswhich somehow all work together perfectly.
Approximate dimensions: 10" long x 7.5" tall x 3" wide. Tail is detachable.
I purchased this piece new. My collections has grown exponentially while my living space has shrunk!
