FRENCH ANTIQUE GILD BRASS BEJEWELED RELIGIOUS CROWN TIARA CROWN DOLLS:
$250.00

About French*Antique*Manoir

There are crowns of Queens which are on many nostalgic sites of the Royal orders, but there are also crowns which we could locate in the \"Kingdom of Heaven\". They are all very beautiful, but the one which appears above seems to me exceptional by the quality of the inspiration, associated with the quality of the work, and with an important symbolism. I invite you to discover other religious crown in my shop, all very elaborated.

Superb tiny antique French religious crown dating from the Napoleon III Era. Beautifully cast in gilded brass, the lower band shows a lovely row of clear faceted glass jewels. Just above, a larger faceted glass jewel in the center of filigree flourish scrolled decor that is also embellished by smaller jewels. The top shows a lovely decor of stars carrying in the middle of each one a faceted glass jewel. Between each star, you can see a grouping of three jewelry. The crown\'s back shows an adjustment holes to fit your head\'s statue or poupée. From shabby to French Santos and vintage, this petite tiara is perfect for religious statue as well as for dolls.

The crown is an emblem of royalty and victory. Jesus wore only a crown of thorns. It was in the 17th century that Count Alexander Sforza, to show his piety towards the Mother of infant Jesus, sent at his expense gold crowns to the most famous Virgins of his time. Since 1631, the date of this initiative, the gesture of piety of the Count Alexander Sforza became the custom.

All the faceted glass jewels catch and reflect the light beautifully, it has all its glass hand faceted jewels and has aged so perfectly.
