Rare, early William Ford Stanley - Londonbrass monocular microscope c. 1870
in original fitted large mahogany dovetailed case with brass carrying handle.
The case has the drawer that holds 9 old original glass microscope slides.
The mahogany casedoes have a lock with original key.
The Microscope screws apart easily and all of the contents fits easily and snugly back into the box.
Themicroscope stands on a large and heavy brass base.
On the brass base the inscription with the name of the manufacturer:

London Bridge
S E
The mirror works well and swivels easily.
The microscope comes with the live box and all the elements that you see in the pictures.
Cosmetically the microscope is in very good condition.Mechanically is very good with no issues.

William Ford Robinson Stanley(2 February 1829– 14 August 1909) was a British inventor with 78 patents filed in both the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
