I found this wonderful Eagle Man doll on my most recent trip to Oaxaca. He is dressed in typical Whitelinen Guayabera. He is carrying a Zapotec wool Moral /Bag fromTeotitlan del Valle. He\'s got leatherhuaraches on his feet and a wood toy in his hand... He issigned by the artist on his neck under the collar of his shirt. I have 4 of these dolls I am listing, the others are; an Crocodile, Jaguar and aRabbit.
The wood toy he is holding has been hand carved and hand painted in the Alebrije tradition. This toy was made in the studio of David Hernandez and is signed on the underside of the top.
His body is made of soft stuffing and the head, hands and feet are made of a very Hard Papier-mâché and all Hand Made in Oaxaca Mexico.
He measures approximately:23 inches tall by18 inches wide and7 inch deep.
