Doug Sneyd Signed Original 4 Sketch Art Collection Playboy 2007 OKed Hugh Hefner For Sale

From the March 2007 issue of Playboy, this collection features preliminary illustrations created by acclaimed illustrator Doug Sneyd for that issues gag cartoon. The first scan features everything included in the listing- with further scans for greater detail, including scan two which is the original prelim (and is denoted by Hugh Hefner himself as "OK color page H" as in "okay to proceed, Hugh Hefner") as well as the page that has been removed from the magazine itself that contains the finished cartoon, scan three includes a xerox color rough (which measures approximately6 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches... everything else measures approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches) and a latter (and more detailed) pencil preliminary sketch, and the final scan includes an earlier, looser pencil prelim sketch plus a copy of the cover to the magazine (which features Mariah Carey). Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada's largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
