Box has some minor frame tear repairs. No cello window. Light shelf wear.

This listing is for a hard to find Marx Disney Playset of Professor Ludwig Von Drake - themed Professor\'s Research On Kids. Ludwig Von Drake is one of Walt Disney\'s characters and was first introduced on September 24, 1961, as the presenter (and singer of \"\"The Spectrum Song\"\") in the cartoon An Adventure in Color, part of the first episode of Walt Disney\'s Wonderful World of Color on NBC. Said to be an uncle of Donald Duck, he was supposedly named after either Ludwig von Mises or Ludwig van Beethoven. He is described as a scientist, lecturer, psychologist, and road traveler. The character displayed his \"\"expert\"\" knowledge on a variety of subjects in eighteen episodes of the classic anthology series, as well as on a number of Disneyland Records.

Paul Frees was the original voice of Ludwig Von Drake. After Frees\' death in 1986, Walker Edmiston and Albert Ash took over the role. Since 1988, Corey Burton has voiced the character.

Ludwig Von Drake comes from Vienna, Austria and has a fascination with knowledge. Since his youth he has been trying to obtain as many diplomas, in any science, as possible. When he is consulted by other family members, it is a running gag that he almost invariably turns out to have a university degree relevant for whatever information they are seeking. He is often shown as having little social competence, however, and is often portrayed as being very forgetful, sometimes even somewhat senile. In the comics Ludwig usually visits with Donald Duck and Donald\'s nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. On occasion, Daisy Duck would coax (or even trick) the professor into giving lectures and tours for her ladies\' club. Sometimes Ludwig and Gyro Gearloose have competed as to who is the greater inventor.

These \"\"Play Set\"\" boxes are similar in design and make up to the the TV scenes - but the Ludwig figures are actually a larger scale sized 60mm (just under 2 1/2 inches). On the rear of each box is a story that\'s \"\"supposed\"\" to relate to the scene - but it doesn\'t make much sense to us! These \"\"Play Set\"\" boxes are very scarce to come across.

• Payment is due within 2 days of sale close or date of purchase - EXCEPTION: if payment is snail mailed, we request it to be mailed within 2 business days. insists on PayPal, but we have no problem with just about any other method. ( Personal cks are held up to 10-15 days to clear.)
• California insists we collect 9.25% sales tax for California residents - unless you can provide a valid resale number.
• Paypal payments - we will ONLY ship to shipping address listed on Paypal payment.

Communication We do our best to answer all emails regarding active listings/sold items within one business day. We don\'t always answer offers to take less (if we wanted to list it for less or with a \'make offer\' option, we would have) or on closed/sold listings.

Shipping & Handling We have found that the shipping calculator is often incorrect, so don\'t count on it as the final word. We only charge exact shipping/insurance costs. Feel free to email if you feel shipping cost showing up is incorrect.
We have just switched to calculated shipping so please let us know if something seems off. We offer more than one shipping option. The cheapest option does NOT always show up first so please look at different options

• Paypal payments - we will ONLY ship to shipping address listed on Paypal payment page (this is an and Paypal requirement).
• We charge exact shipping and insurance charges on all orders - we do not charge packing nor handling fees. Signature required on all packages over $500.
• Combined shipping: Yes, we combine shipping. Please request invoice (or it will cost you a little more)
• International buyer pays EXACT shipping & insurance (VAT/Taxes/Duty is the responsibility of the buyer. Please know your own country\'s fees for imports).
• Shipping Time: Our normal shipping days are Tuesdays and Fridays. There is a one business day processing time needed for shipments (ie items paid by midnight Sunday will go out Tuesday. We try to get most items paid on Monday shipped on Tuesday - but if time doesn\'t permit, please don\'t expect package to ship until Friday).

Damaged in Shipping/Returns & Refund Policy
Damaged Items: If an item arrived damaged, contact us immediately. Please be sure to retain ALL packaging including the box and packing materials, and we will file an insurance claim for you.

Returns: No returns. Everything is sold AS-IS. Buyer is responsible for reading description and reviewing large pictures provided. The items we sell are vintage collectables so expect natural aging/wear. However, we will consider return if there was a significant oversight in listing. Please contact us for authorization. Buyers would be responsible for ALL return shipping and insurance costs. Insurance would be required and must cover the final offer price. Changes of heart (ie buyer\'s remorse) will never be a legitimate return reason. We will not consider for return any \'sealed\' item which has been open by buyer - regardless of contents. We also reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee for returns or order cancellations - at our discretion. We do NOT offer partial refunds.
