Condition:

good overall condition for its age. The case shows some minor scratching throughout and very minimal chipping along the edges. Amazing display condition. The interior has a slightly worn purple velvet cushion, original brass hinges that work well and are slightly loose. The clasps does not hold shut. Dag was not pulled out: visible tarnish along the mat edges and some spots of discoloration seen.The included daguerreotype is in good condition, showing some mild scratching and a few small spots of discoloration. Very nice halo. It appears to have been previously cleaned/restored as the back has been resealed.
