I am selling some stuff at a big loss. My storage unit must be cleaned out.
Frontierland. It is here that we experience the story of our country\'s past. The color, romance and drama of frontier America as it developed from wilderness trails to roads, riverboats, railroads and civilization. A tribute to the faith, courage and ingenuity of our hearty pioneers who blaze the trails and made this progress possible. — Walter E. Disney, July 17, 1955These are 2 amazing props from Frontierland Disneyland Anaheim. Imagine what it must have been like when Cowboys would put on a show in Disneyland in the 50\'s and 60\'s and 70s. You wil get 2 great props. This is an original and very old lasso and metal cowboy boot accent piece from Disneyland California. I say very old because they might go back to when the park opened and used up until the early 80\'s. But I do not know for sure how old. Here is the story and I will try to keep it short. Both props were obtained through different places.First the lasso. This is an amazing lasso from Disneyland. This is an actual lasso, used when they had actual cast members doing stunts and shows with lassos, horses and cowboy stuff. A real piece of history. There are no markings. This was later used as a display piece is Frontierland as a prop. It hung up in various places in the pavilion. This was a prop in Frontierland in one of the attractions or themed sets. Used in several areas over many years.

I bought this from a collector who a bunch of years ago bought it from a woman who worked at Disneyland. Her and her husband met while working at Disneyland in the late 1950\'s. I had even heard that they were married in the park. This was given to the couple in the late 70\'s or mid 80\'s. The widow sold some of the stuff that they had accumulated over the almost 40 years that they worked at Disneyland. This is old. It was possibly at the park from the beginning in the mid 1950\'s. The lasso is made of a stiff material. It is NOT rope, it is a rigid lasso. The best find from Frontierland I have had. It is actually heavy. An amazing authentic piece of history. Next is the boot. This is a great old metal cowboy boot prop from Disneyland Frontierland. This would have been seen in one of the attractions, restaurants, themed areas, or shops.
I am in the process of e picking the collection of an interesting lot of items. The father and grandfather of the family had a salvage company and worked in Hollywood and much of southern California. They amassed an enormous collection and in the 70\'s started a prop rental company along with the salvage. Most of the items are unidentified props but I am looking for some cool stuff even though it is not identified as to a production. However, some stuff was identified because they remembered or it was marked. They or an affiliate did some salvage at Disneyland, I guess in this case they were doing some major renovations. I do not know when this was removed but it seems very old. This is old, and possibly at the park from the beginning in the mid 1950\'s, but I do not know when it was removed. The company did some salvage up until the 70\'s I believe. The piece is metal and about 9 inches tall. The tag is from the prop rental place NOT Disney, but there is a mark on the bottom. lol, they misspelled Frontierland on the tag
A personal LOA will be included for both. Again you get the lasso and the boot. Great pieces of history.
