Fresh from my collection an extremely rare squat amber weiss beer from H. J. Witt of Davenport, Iowa. This 7 1/2\" amber bottle is embossed in the slug plate H. J. WITT / WEISS BEER / DAVENPORT, IA. There is no other embossing on the bottle. The bottle has been dug with a rusty wire and light exterior haze, no deep etching, easily cleaned. Henning Witt was in business in Davenport soley from 1879 to 1906 as a bottler, and brewer. Please e-mail any questions.
