The coat is a soft wool and has a maker’s mark “Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot Pennsylvania”. It is marked a size 40. The shoulder to shoulder measurement is about 20 inches, the chest is about 22 inches and the sleeve length is about 26 inches. We do not see any tears or holes. There are no buttons. Only a hook at the collar.
The pants are a really stiff wool. There is a stamp that reads “Property of The ????? Tac??? There are numerous stamps but the stamp must have been worn down because the main word is illegible. The waist measures only a 14 inches but the side hem stitches have broken. The cloth is not torn, only the stitches, but that makes a great opportunity to enlarge the pants. The inseam is about 25 inches but these appear to be riding pants so the legs would go inside boots.
The belt is about 33 inches.
