The Lucin Variscite Story

The most notable Variscite deposits in America are found in Utah and Nevada. Lucin Variscite, commonly called Utah Variscite, is probably the most recognized Variscite in all the world. It comes from a hill near Lucin, Utah, which is now a ghost town. This deposit is currently owned by Union Pacific Railroad and is not presently being mined. Rock hounds have collected high grade specimens from this mine for decades although collecting is no longer allowed in this area, making old time collections very valuable.

Gem Lore

- Ancient healers believed that Variscite would ease stress, improve mental alertness, and aid in self-recognition.

- Variscite has been called a "stone of prosperity."

- Many believe that Variscite has the power to calm and enlighten. It is considereda meditative stone that quiets the

mind and helps in remembering the past.

- For some, Variscite promotes good moral character, independence, and triumph.

-Crystal healers use Variscite to stabilize the nervous system and improve blood flow. It has beensaid toinvigorate energy

levels while relieving stress.

Variscite is one of the most sought after minerals in theentire mineral-collecting world and is such a rare mineral that is often used as a gem material.
