Up for sale is a CASE CLASSIC SPLINE BACK WHITTLER GREEN RODGERS BONE KNIFE- -FACTORY SAMPLE- This Case Classic Large Spline Back Whittler Green Rodgers Jigged Bone,tang is stamped 1990,Factory Sample,XX , Case Brothers. Bow tie shield! This knife measures 4 1/2 inches closed!Just a fine knife.                                                                      We recently purchased a Very large collection of Case Classic Factory Sample Knives. I have pictured a 2 page letter from Blue Grass Cutlery detailing the specifics on these Factory Sample Knives with some history on the Case Classics . There were only 5 of each of the Case Classic Factory Samples made. One was kept at the plant, one to each of the owners of Blue Grass Cutlery, and another to James Parker, owner of Case, which is all detailed in the letter. Many of the knives that we will be selling were never produced and some that were produced are very low production runs,to say the least! None of these knives are Production Knives. They are all Factory Samples. These knives have never Ever been available to the public. All of the Case Classic Factory Samples we are going to be selling over the next few months were purchased from Blue Grass Cutlery which they purchased the knife collection from a previous owner of Blue Grass Cutlery, George Smith. We also have an invoice and inventory of each knife that was purchased with some brief description of the knife which a copy will be included with each sale to the winning buyer, as we want the history of each knife to stay with the knife for the remainder of its life, so there is no question on the Authenticity of each knife!
