There is minimal wear on the grip closer to the pommel. The engravings are brilliant and it is very impressive to see in person. The 1908 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword and 1912 Pattern Cavalry Sword (the more ornate Officer\'s version) was the last service sword issued to the Cavalry of the British Army. It has been called the most effective Cavalry Sword ever designed.
