The weathervane is very fragile. We've lost some to rough handling. We ran a bead of glue around the post where the 4 directions stick out. This should help strengthen them.

The Boyds Trinket Boxes are resin with mixed media and metal hinges. Care must be used in opening the boxes the first time. We check all of the hinges before we ship, and know that some of the tight ones can be force open and broken. Using a finger nail or thin nail file can assist you in opening the boxes safely.

During a Boyds show and tell day (meaning The Head Bean talks, you listen), THB unveiled a series of hinged resin mini boxes with surprises inside-the cutest darn things you ever did see! Everyone agreed, Uncle Bean’s Treasure Boxes were donna be a hit!
“Ah, battery operated. Very clevah” thought the folks at Boyds when the boxes started to quake. Then out jumped a family of mini field mice, just askin’ for trouble.
“What were you doing in my boxes!?” inquired THB.
Speakin’ for the family, Nibby McNibble stepped forward and explained that Uncle Bean’s Treasure Boxes were the cheapest way to travel.
“I like this guy,” thought THB impressed with Nibby’s group (and his funky getup). “Well, what are ya waitin’for? Get back in those boxes and we’ll ship ya out today!”
