Condition Grading Scale:
Mint/Gem Mint (GM): No imperfections whatsoever either from handling or from factory.
Near Mint/Mint (M): Extremely light signs of handling, or very slightfactory imperfections.
Near Mint (NM): Very light signs of handling, or with noticeable factory imperfections.
Excellent (EX): Possible signs of play, with slightly more noticeable scratches or corner wear. Usually no bends, creases, large dents or water damage.
Very Good (VG): Similar to Excellent, more noticeable imperfections.
Light Played (LP): Noticeable signs of play, bends or creases more common.
Played (P): Significant signs of play, but no heavy creases or water damage. Still tournament legal.
Heavy Played (HP): Heavy signs of play, may be rendered unfit for tournament play. No tears/rips or water damage.
Damaged (D): Usually unfit for tournament play, even in a sleeve. Ripped or water damaged etc. (Sometimes this grade may be used in conjunction with another to denote a card with major damage but which is in good condition otherwise)
