Bell SPH-4 Helicopter Pilot Aviation Army Helmet
w/ microphone, SIZE EXTRA LARGE XLI am not an expert of military accessories, but this appears to be an army issue helicopter pilot helmet. From the tag on the inside, it is marked as a Bell Helmets SPH-4, size extra large. I indeed have a large head, and it fit me just fine. I believe this to be Vietnam era, but I could be wrong. There is obvious wear on the outside, so this did see some regular use. The microphone and boom are still attached, as well as the 1/4\" jack and cable. Headphones on the inside appear to be fine, one is missing the foam that covers the speaker. Clear visor slides up and down, and locks with the spinning knob no problem. Overall a very cool item. Wish I had the space to keep and display this, everyone that has come over and seen it has loved it - a great conversation piece.
The foam head is not included, but these can be had cheaply. I use that to display any hats or cranial accessories when I\'m selling those things on .
YES, I know how to pack heavy and delicate items, so don\'t worry! This will be packed inside of a box totally surrounded by all sorts of padding (bubble wrap, packing peanuts, airbags, etc!)
