Antonio Lopez, poster for Missoni Fashion house:
$595.00

Antonio LopezIllustratorAntonio Lopez was a fashion illustrator whose work appeared in such publications as Vogue, Harper\'s Bazaar, Elle, Interview and The New York Times. Several books collecting his illustrations have been published. In his obituary, the New York Times called him a \"major fashion illustrator.\" He generally signed his works as \"Antonio.\"
This poster has vibrant colors , designed for Missoni by Antonio Lopez. there is a signature in the handle of the bow I can\'t tell if it\'s original or printed on the poster. I question this because of where the signature is on the same poster on this link. at the pictures and compare for yourself.
the poster has watermarks with the name \"Fabriano\" showing through when held up to the lightFounded in 1282, the paper mill at Fabriano (on the Esino River inland from Ancona, Italy) is the oldest continuously operating paper mill in Europe. The Cartiere Miliani Fabriano claims to have innovated three techniques which are still a part of papermaking today: the identification of papers using watermarks, the hydraulic hammer pile for pulverizing the rags, and gelatin sizing to strengthen paper and render it more receptive to ink and paint.
I also have another Antonio Lopez poster with a clear autograph right hear on e-bay. the last picture is of that one
Antonio Lopez was hooked on fashion from an early age, creating drawings for his mother, a seamstress, and applying makeup on the mannequins his father produced. The world\'s most celebrated fashion illustrator, Lopez was working for Harper\'s Bazaar, British Vogue, and Interview, as well as Yves Saint Laurent, Missoni, and ChloƩ, before he was struck down by AIDS in 1987, aged 44
