Really nice antique ironstone bowl measuring approximately 6" across and 2.5" high
Several irregularities and marks from age, some rust marks. No chips or cracks, no crazing.
This is very old because it's actually oh so slightly off round if you look at it closely.
I am not sure what the process was to make ironstone but this is definitely an early specimen.
No maker stamp.
Heavy, weighs 1.3 pounds
This was found in the Shenandoah valley area of Virginia in a very historic area of old farms.
These are great to use as trinket dishes, keys, candles (as shown here, candle and terra Cotta holder not part of this listing) or you can use this as a bowl but personally,
I wouldn't put this in the dishwasher.
Will be carefully packed for shipping.
Thanks for looking!
