This late 1800’s Belgian vitreous enamel on cast iron figural umbrella stand measures 30” tall x 18” wide x 9” deep and is marked N Martin A Huy on the bottom of the removable drip pan. It takes the form of a seated setter under a rustic oak bower and has richly variegated brown (Rockingham-like) tones with stark white pan. The casting is superb and delicate with great details in the twigs and oak leaves and the dog has a nice pose and friendly face. There are 6 or 7 chips./ losses in the enamel and it has NO cracks or repairs.
