Original Antique Mechanical Cast Iron Uncle Sam Bank. Place a coin in his hand, press the lever, and the coin disappears into his US bag while his beard waggles in approval.
Bank is marked “JUNE 8 1886” on the bottom. The original paint is gone and a bronze/copper color has been applied. His umbrella is removable and he measures 11” tall, base is 3 7/8” x 4 7/8”. His mail bag is marked US and the work BANK is on both sides. The front has the words UNCLE SAM and an eagle. He works as he should, please view the video below to watch him in action.
Please be sure to view all photos for the most accurate description. The bank does have some rust on the interior and on the umbrella and has been repainted a copper color.
