Antique Small Pewter Tumbler or Beaker Round Base with Curved Sides: $59.99
Antique Small Pewter Tumbler or Beaker Round Base with Curved Sides Incised Lines decoration For Your Antique Pewter Beautiful antique small pewter tumbler or beaker. The tumbler has a round base and a rising outwards curved side ending in a plain rim. The beaker is unmarked as to the maker or its origin. We believe the tumbler to be from the late 1700s or early 1800s. The plain tumbler is decorated with incised lines one near the base and four parallel lines in the middle of the side. The beaker has a beautiful warm dark gray age patina. A beautiful tumbler to add to your collection. See item 1036 in \"Pewter of The Western World 1600-1850\" by Peter Hornsby and published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd in Exton PA in 1983 for a similar tumbler identified as \"Typical New England beaker circa 1800\". A nice piece of old pewter that is over 200 years old that is in good condition. It is rather unusual in form and age and would display nicely in your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Early to mid 18th century.Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The piece was most likely made in New England US.Size: The tumbler is ~3\" high with the base being ~2\" in diameter, and the top being ~2 5/8\" in diameter. The beaker weighs about 3.5 ounces.Maker: Unknown.Marks: Unmarked.Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A nice antique, which would display very well in your collection.Condition: This tumbler is in good condition. It has no breaks, cracks, or repairs. The piece has aged into a nice warm gray patina. It is soiled and could use a good cleaning, which we leave to the discretion of the new owner. The surface inside and out has a few scratches and some minor dings. The top of the beaker is a bit bent and is out of round. Be that as it may, this is still a very nice antique that would make a great addition to your collection. Please view photos for additional condition information.
