Antique Siren Car, Truck Electric 6 volt 12 volt Tested Works, "Very Loud" For Sale

I purchased this item from a collector of antiques. He was unsure what this was used for? I tested this with a rheostat where I could vary the voltage. As soon as I put DC voltage to it the siren it sounded. It was similar to a duck screaming! at 12 volts it was so loud it was unbearable. The item has lots of rust, scratches and scuffs per age. I used air and blew out any loose dirt will let new owner clean & paint or leave as is. I put some heat shrink on the outer leads for protection.
